Writing content for websites is hard. That's why many people looking for ways to increase their online income resort to all sorts of tricks to avoid it.
You can actually buy programs (spinners) that take a written source document and replace words with synonyms to make it look like a new unique article. Unfortunately for them, words have very specific denotations and connotations, and there is usually only one or two words which are the best fit for a particular usage. For example "Fat" and "Obese". The results can be pretty funny but are probably not what you want to trust your future financial wellbeing to.
You can outsource your writing. There are lots of writers looking for income, especially in foreign countries. They all promise unique articles, well researched, with native English speaker quality. That may happen sometimes, but not often. I think most of the people who use outsource writers successfully either pay a lot more for quality writing or they use the material they buy as a starting point and edit heavily.
Write what you know. This works the best for me. When you are writing about a subject with which you are already knowledgeable you automatically use the right vocabulary to attract the readers who are interested in your subject. You don't really have to think about identifying key words, how often to use them, etc. It just happens. This is a place where older writers have an advantage. They have lived long enough to learn things and have abundant life experiences.
Younger writers frequently are much more comfortable with the technology of online publishing, but lack the life experiences.
Old Catalogs have interesting content. We have an interest in collectibles and find old catalogs can be an interesting source of good content. For example, Old Woodworking Tools is a copy of an 1897 woodworking tool catalog. It attracts antique tools collectors who want to learn more about tools in their collections. That means it's a good platform on which to place ads for Ebay. If a visitor already has a collection of old tools, they are very likely to want to look at similar items for sale now.
